The Tennessee Highway Safety Office has developed a plan of action to assist local law enforcement agencies in combating drivers that make poor decisions while driving on Tennessee roadways during the Memorial Day weekend. This plan will be highlighted as “40 on 40”, whereas officers will concentrate their efforts for a total of 40 hours on I-40 and adjacent roadways. The times of this enhanced enforcement will begin each day starting on Friday, May 28th at 2pm to 12am and run through May 31st. To learn more visit www.tntrafficsafety.org .
