The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Office of Outdoor Recreation has announced over $22 Million in Parks and Recreation grants for 31 communities across the state.
In our region, the City of Crossville has been awarded a $359,000 Local Parks and Recreation Fund grant for inclusive playground development.
Cumberland Mountain State Park has been awarded a $106,000 Recreational Trails Program grant for hiking trail rehabilitation.
White County will receive a $50,000 Tennessee Recreation Initiative Program grant to establish a Parks and Recreation Department and hire a Director.
