An escaped inmate is back behind bars. Shortly after 4pm Wednesday (4/28/21), Roane County Deputies took Jeremiah W. Holt into custody at a residence in Morgan County. Holt ran away from an inmate work crew on April 16th. Holt will now be charged with Felony Escape, added to the Tennessee Department Of Correction (TDOC) sentence he was already facing. The Roane County Sheriff’s Office thanks Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Wayne Potter, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, and Sheriff Casey Cox for their assistance.
