Update: The National Weather service has confirmed at least 11 EF-0 tornadoes trekked across Middle Tennessee on Tuesday. However, the NWS has determined that straight-line winds are what caused the damage in Fairfield Glade in Cumberland County.

The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed one weather-related fatality in West Tennessee from Tuesday morning’s storms. A 49-year-old Weakley County woman was killed when a tree crashed into her bedroom as she slept. At least six mobile homes were also damaged.
The National Weather service says 11 tornadoes occurred in Tennessee Tuesday morning with most of those packing EF-0 winds.
After the storms passed through Cumberland County, personnel from the Fairfield Glade Police Department, Fairfield Glade Fire Department, Crossville/Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency, Cumberland County Fire Department, Crossville Fire Department and the Cumberland County Rescue Squad were dispatched to the Northeast portion of Fairfield Glade to clear storm damage from roads and driveways. The National Weather Service has determined straight-line winds hit in Fairfield Glade. A tree fell on at least one home in that area. There were no immediate reports of injury. Officials reported widespread tree and power line damage and Command Center set up a special hotline number for those needing their driveways cleared or other non-emergency services.
In Pikeville multiple homes were damaged and trees were knocked down along Old Spencer Road. The damage was not major according to Bledsoe County EMA and straight-line winds are suspected.
