The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced that a contractor has been selected to make emergency repairs on the I-40 Mississippi River Bridge, which was shut down last Tuesday, May 11, 2021 after a crack was discovered. The contractor is expected to start work as early as Wednesday, May 19, 2021. TDOT says it is unable to project a re-opening date.
