Friday, March 18, 2022 3:10pm: Fairfield Glade Police, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Investigators and agents of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are currently on scene at Grouse Court in Fairfield Glade on a report of a shooting that occurred Friday morning. One person was reported deceased. One person was taken into custody after a SWAT team was sent to the area. Authorities are not providing any additional details at this time.
It has not been confirmed by authorities if this shooting is connected to a home invasion reported Thursday night in the same area. The following is a press release issued on Thursday’s incident.

On March 17th at approximately 9:55 PM the Fairfield Glade Police Department responded to a residence on Grouse Court in the Wilshire Heights neighborhood. Officers responded to a report that someone entered the residence by force. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the residents of the home. It was determined that the suspect who entered the residence had fled the scene. Upon investigation it was determined that one resident sustained a minor injury and a firearm was recovered from the scene that possibly belonged to the suspect. The injury to the resident of the home was not a result of a discharge of the weapon. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office of Investigations were notified and Sheriff’s Office investigators responded. This incident remains under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfield Glade Police Department and the Office of the District Attorney General.
