Crossville Police arrested a man who allegedly injured two other men who were attempting to repossess his vehicle.   According to reports, around 2am Wednesday (5/4/2022),  49-year-old Henry Linde of Cookeville Towing and Recovery and his employee, 54-year-old William Walton, were attempting to repossess a 2006 Nissan Frontier that was parked at the Speedway on Genesis Road in Crossville.  Thomas Alan Uchytil, age 57, was reportedly asleep inside the truck.  The men say they woke Mr. Uchytil who refused to exit the vehicle.  Mr. Linde stepped in front of the truck and Mr. Walton put his arm inside the vehicle.  Police report Uchytil drove off with Walton’s arm still inside the truck and struck Mr. Linde and a parked semi.  With Walton still attached to the truck, Uchytil left the Speedway and headed for the I-40 overpass.  It was there that Walton was able to free himself and was thrown from the truck.  Walton suffered multiple abrasions and a dislocated shoulder.  Mr. Linde was still tracking the Nissan on his phone and police caught up to Uchytil on Wells Road.  After questioning,  Uchytil was booked into the Cumberland County Justice Center.
