Stone Memorial High School student Tina Tung earned 3rd Place in the Senior Individual Paper category at this year’s Tennessee History Day contest with her project, “Black Lives Matter: The Diplomatic Sanitation Workers’ Strike of Memphis, Tennessee”. Tung is a student at Stone Memorial High School, under the guidance of educator Tracey Velong. History Day is a year-long competition in which students in grades 6-12 compete by submitting group or individual projects about people and events of historical significance.
