Sheriff Casey Cox announced the promotion of Jeff Slayton from Investigations Lieutenant to Enforcement Captain earlier this week.
Jeff has been employed with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for 23 years. During that time he has worked in the patrol division, SIU, narcotics, and has supervised the CCSO Investigations Division since 2014.
Captain Slayton will now be responsible for overseeing the Patrol Division, Investigations Division, and Community Service Division.
He is a proven law enforcement leader, very knowledgeable about the job and is highly respected in the law enforcement community.
We look forward to Captain Slayton’s continued leadership and experience in the future.
