Andrew Jackson York, the son of legendary World War I hero Sgt. Alvin C. York, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his home in Pall Mall, Tennessee. He was 92.
Andrew Jackson York attended the Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy after graduating from Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute. He worked as a Tennessee Park Ranger for 43 years, taking care of the Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park in Pall Mall.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown. Burial will follow in the Wolf River Cemetery. Commissioned officers from the Tennessee State Parks will provide Honor Guard Services.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown and also on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 12:00 noon til time of the service. (Photo courtesy Jennings Funeral Homes)
