Crossville’s Jaxon Reed will return to the TSSAA State Golf Championship for a second straight year. On Monday (September 26, 2022), Reed shot -1 for a 69 to place 4th in the Region 4AA Tournament at the Golden Eagle Golf Club in Cookeville. He secured a spot for the Class AA State Championship which will be held next week, October 6th-7th, at the Sevierville Golf Club. Jaxon Reed attended the TSSAA State Golf Championship last year where he placed 15th in the state.
Reed is a senior at Cumberland County High School where he plays golf and basketball. He started golf competition at the age of 8 with the GCJT and played on the CC Middle School team from 4th-8th grade while also competing on the Sned’s Tour. Jaxon has recently committed to play college golf with the DII NCAA National Champions, Lee University Flames of Cleveland, TN. Jaxon is the son of Rodney and Amy Reed of Crossville.
