ATV Crash Kills Two In Campbell County

Two young men died Saturday evening in an ATV crash in Campbell County.  They were identified as Johnathan Newsport, 22, of Oneida, Tennessee, and Garrett Baird, 22, of Pine Knot, Kentucky.  According to reports, they were traveling on Old Highway 63 when they lost control while attempting to turn and struck a concrete train trestle.  Both driver and passenger were ejected and the ATV ended up in a creek.  The Scott County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement reminding people to pray for and help their loved ones.  The Sheriff’s Office also urged people to “be cognizant of the safety precautions to take while operating an ATV or UTV.”
