A California Highway Patrol Commander was found dead at a home in Celina, Tennessee last weekend and now authorities are investigating her cause of death.
On Saturday, December 10, 2022 the Clay County Sheriff’s Office dispatched deputies to a home on Lake View Drive where they found 49-year-old Julie Vernnan Harding deceased. Officials say there were no immediate signs of foul play, however, the TBI and Clay County Sheriff’s Office are investigating and her body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Offic e in Nashville.
Two days before she was found deceased, Julie Harding had been arrested for trespassing and stalking at the home of a Murfreesboro woman.
And the case gets even stranger. Harding’s husband had been living in Celina when he went missing in September. His body was found September 26 in Burkesville, Kentucky. He had been fatally shot. A California man was arrested on December 8 and charged with Michael Harding’s murder.
Authorities have not said if Julie Harding had anything to do with her husband’s death.
Commander Harding was reportedly on leave from the California Highway Patrol at the time of her death.
