Tuesday night the 8th ranked Volunteers hosted the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. The Vols were looking to win their second SEC game this season and improve to 12-2 and the Vols did just that after a dominate defensive performance. Tennessee held State to only 22 points in the first half of play. Also after shooting 57% from the 3-Point line the Vols defeat the Bulldogs 87-53
The scoring was spread out between the Volunteers with five players scoring double-digits. Santiago Vescovi scored 14 points, Julian Philips and Zakai Zeigler had 11 points, and Olivier Nkamhoua and Uros Plavsic had 10 points. The leading scorer for State was Tyler Stevenson with 15 points.
