Cumberland County has received a state grant for courthouse repairs

Tennessee House Speaker, Cameron Sexton and Tennessee Senator Paul Bailey attended Monday’s session of the Cumberland County Commission. The lawmakers officially announced the awarding of a $2 million grant to the county to be used for repairs to the courthouse. In other matters, the commission approved the addition of Juneteenth as a county holiday, as well as approving a resolution to return the former Highway Patrol office property on Highway 70 to the heirs of the original owners.
