A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the Valentine’s Day shooting in Sweetwater, Tennessee that killed two people, including a 2-year-old girl.
Officials say Nathanial Kain McEwan was involved in the shooting and fled to Florida. He was apprehended on Thursday, July 6, 2023 by the United States Marshals’ Smoky Mountain Task Force, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
McEwan has been indicted on two counts of felony murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, employment of a firearm during a dangerous felony, attempted especially aggravated burglary and reckless endangerment.
