Two law enforcement officers and their K9s from White County were recently featured on Ben Lomand TV’s Table Talk. White County Sheriff’s Deputy Jake Simmons and K9 Kilo and Sparta City Officer Justin Cunningham and K9 Charlie appeared on the show to talk about the important impact K9s have on the community. They also emphasized the importance of the educational purpose behind both K9 Kilo’s and K9 Charlie’s children’s books. K9 Kilo is featured in “Tommy Tractor and Deputy Kilo” which came out in February of 2022. Deputy Kilo helps kids understand dogs do a lot of different jobs and the K9 talks about the work he does as a drug dog. “Tommy Tractor and Officer Charlie: Hug a Tree Lesson”, which came out in June(2023), features K9 Charlie who helps children and adults learn what to do if they find themselves lost.
