Tennessee’s 47th Governor, Don Sundquist, passed away Sunday at age 87, following surgery and a short illness. He was 87 years old. In 1982 Sundquist was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Tennessee’s 7th District where he served until 1995. Sundquist served as Tennessee’s Governor from 1995 to 2003. He is survived by former First Lady Martha Sundquist, his wife of 64 years, and their three children.
