City of Crossville Conducting EPA Mandated Inventory Of Materials Used In Water Services Lines, Needs Your Help

By Peg Broadcasting News Aug 28, 2023 | 2:40 PM

The City of Crossville is conducting an EPA mandated inventory of materials used in water service lines and they need your help.  Under the EPA’s Lead and Copper Rules Revisions (LCCR), it is required that all water systems in the United States complete an inventory of the materials used in water service lines, on both the portion of the service line owned by the City, and the portion on private property that is owned by the customer.  The inventory will document if the pipes are made of lead, galvanized steel, or non-lead materials. So far, the City has completed the inventory of about 8,000 service lines of the approximately 15,500 water service lines in the City of Crossville and Catoosa. And now the City needs your help to complete the inventory.  All City of Crossville Water Department and Catoosa Utility District customers are asked to complete the short Water Line Survey which can be found online at www.crossvilletn.gov .
