The Stone Memorial High School Panthers, the 6th ranked team in the state in the latest Associated Press State Top 10 in Class 4A, traveled to White County for a Region game on Friday. SMHS recorded a 28-26 victory to improve to 4 and 0 this season, the Panthers are now 2 and 0 in Region play.
Also on Friday, the Cumberland County Jets played their first home game of the season. CCHS celebrated Homecoming with a 63-0 win over the Pickett County Bobcats. CCHS led 49-0 at the half, as the Jets improved to 2 and 2 on the season.
Friday, September 15, Stone Memorial will host Meigs County. The kickoff is set for 6:30, with live coverage airing on Mix 99.3 beginning at 6:15. Cumberland County will once again be at home, as the Jets play a Region game against Macon County. Kickoff for the Jets and Tigers is set for 7:00, live coverage airs at 6:45 on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
