A proposed ordinance regulating business signs and outdoor advertising was tabled after questions about allowing election signs in right of ways. Councilmember Mike Turner made the motion to approve and added an amendment that would allow candidate signs in the right of way provided they did not obstruct the view. There was some question as to whether it would be legal to allow election signs while barring other types from the right of way. Council tabled the matter until they get an opinion from the city attorney.
