By Peg Broadcasting News Oct 13, 2023 | 11:23 AM

Long-time Crossville businessman, Jerry Wayne Brown, has passed away.  He was 86.  Jerry Brown  began his working career as a surveyor for the State of Tennessee and then at TVA.  He and his wife Sue purchased what was then Home Supply on Lantana Road. The business grew and moved to a larger full-building supply location that is now Cumberland Components. He is often remembered for being someone who helped a young family build their first home.

Mr. Brown’s passion for the restoration of antique cars and trucks turned into a business of restoring and selling early 1970’s Chevrolet trucks. They were hauled across the county and logged thousands of miles to shows and sales.

Graveside Services for Jerry Wayne Brown will be held at Green Acres Memory Gardens on Sunday October 15th at 3pm. Survivors include Wife Sue Bilbrey Brown, Children Victoria Brown Hickey, and Shannon Brown, 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc., the Cumberland’s, 390 South Lowe Avenue, Suite I, Cookeville, TN.
