On Monday, October 23, 2023, Putnam County Sheriff’s Detectives received information that Robert William McKay would be coming to Putnam County with a large amount of narcotics driving a 2005 Gold Ford Escape. PCSO Detectives, assisted by patrol, K9, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigations conducted a traffic stop on McKay on Old Baxter Rd in Putnam County. During the stop, McKay fled from his vehicle but was quickly taken into custody. K-9 Atos was deployed, then alerted on the vehicle as to having narcotics inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to approximately 208g of Methamphetamine, approximately 28g of suspected Cocaine, and approximately 22g of suspected Fentanyl being seized.
Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Lieutenant Jeremy Nash arrested and charged McKay with Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Methamphetamine, 2 counts Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule II Drugs, Evading, and Resisting arrest.
