A North Carolina man wanted for the Armed Robbery of a Dollar General store in Cookeville and a bank robbery in Jackson County was arrested Wednesday (11/15/23) in Baxter, Tennessee. According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received information that Brent Anthony Holland was staying at an address on Jack Lewis Road in Baxter. With the assistance of PCSO K9, Drug Task Force and Aviation Division, deputies established a perimeter before attempting to make contact with Holland. Authorities say Holland tried to flee in his vehicle but was unable, resulting in him fleeing on foot before being apprehended. Holland reportedly has active arrest warrants in multiple other states. He was charged in Putnam County with Aggravated Robbery and placed on a $10,000 bond. Holland’s court date is set for December 4, 2023.
