The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has awarded a $3,600 grant to Roane State’s Cumberland Business Incubator (CBI) to provide hands-on STEM technology experiences in Cumberland County middle school classrooms in support of the district’s STEM teachers.
Utilizing the grant funds during the spring and fall semesters this year, more than 1,100 students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with STEM technologies. Students focused on topics such as artificial intelligence and robotics, augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing and design thinking.
