Crossville Man Charged After Reportedly Hitting Unmarked THP Cruiser and Another Vehicle

A Crossville man was charged after he allegedly hit an unmarked THP cruiser and another vehicle while attempting to flee the scene.  The Trooper said he was stopped at the intersection of North Main and Miller Avenue when the vehicle behind him rolled into his cruiser. As the suspect vehicle attempted to go around the cruiser, it sideswiped another vehicle and continued to drive away from the scene.  The Trooper activated emergency equipment and the vehicle stopped after a short period of time at the intersection of Livingston Road and Keyes Street.  According to an arrest report filed by the Crossville Police Department, 24-year-old Chandler Reece Houston stated he freaked out and “went into fight or flight”. He stopped once he realized what he was doing.  Houston was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center and served a warrant for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.  No injuries were reported.
