Victims identified in hit and run on Hwy 70 in Crossville

Two persons were airlifted to trauma centers after being struck by a vehicle around 3 am Sunday morning. 30 year old Brittany Cox of Crossville and 31 year old Austin Moser of Lewisburg, Tennessee were injured after being struck by William Franklin Walsh, 36, of Sampson Road. Walsh had reportedly been in a verbal altercation with Cox in the parking lot of Bootleggers on Highway 70. When Cox and Moser crossed the road to leave the altercation, Walsh was seen on surveillance video entering his vehicle and crossing the road and into the Eagle Mart parking, striking both Cox and Moser. Cox was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center, while Moser was taken to Erlanger. Walsh was later arrested at his home and charged with 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, and 1 count each of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injury and Failure to Report an Accident.
