January 10, 2024 Hearing Date Set for Jimmy Harold Clark, Convicted for Rape of a Child

District Attorney General Bryant C. Dunaway reports that a January 10th hearing has been scheduled in the Jimmy Harold Clark case to determine a date for his sentencing hearing.  Per a Facebook post by DA Dunaway,  Clark, age 62, was convicted in December of the offense of Rape of a Child.  The victim testified she was 11 years old at the time.  The jury deliberated for less than an hour and also imposed the maximum fine of $50,000,

After the jury announced its verdict, Judge Bray ordered that Clark be taken into the custody of the Cumberland County Sheriff, which was the lead investigative agency.  Assistant District Attorneys Philip Hatch and Allison Null prosecuted the case.
