A Cumberland County man has been arrested for aggravated child abuse.
According to a press release from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, on December 16, 2023, Sheriff’s Investigators were contacted by the Department of Children Services about a baby that had been sent to Children’s Hospital in Knoxville for injuries. The investigation revealed Curtis Hood, age 25, of Fairfield Glade, had committed aggravated child abuse on the minor child. A Grand Jury indictment was handed down and Hood was arrested on Thursday, March 14, 2024. He remains in the Cumberland County Jail under a $250,000 bond pending an April 5, 2024 court date.
