Fentress County Sobriety Checkpoint Nets 2 DUI and 1 Drug Related Arrests, 14 Citations Issued

Three people were arrested and over a dozen citations were issued during last Friday night’s (3/15/24) Sobriety Checkpoint in Fentress County.  According to a press release, the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, conducted the check point at the intersection of Highway  127 and Highway 62 in Clarkrange.  Ten different agencies from across the State assisted, including the Crossville, Fairfield Glade, Sparta, and Cookeville Police Departments.  A total of 43 Law Enforcement Officers were on hand along with two Trained Drug Recognition Experts. A total of 453 vehicles were checked. 14 Citations were issued along with 2 arrested for Driving Under the Influence and 1 drug related arrest.
