Cumberland County Schools to Dismiss at 11:15 am CT for Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024

Director of Schools William Stepp has announced that Cumberland County Schools will dismiss early on Monday, April 8, 2024, as the partial solar eclipse is a great learning opportunity.  Students will receive breakfast, lunch, and eclipse viewing glasses. Schools will dismiss on April 8 at 11:15am Central Time.

Bledsoe County Schools will also dismiss students at 11:30am on April 8, so they can safely experience the solar eclipse with their families.  Breakfast and lunch will be served.  Each Bledsoe County student will be provided with a pair of eclipse viewing glasses, safety information, and a Moon Pie.

Morgan County Schools will be implementing a remote learning day on April 8 due to the eclipse.

Roane County Schools will also dismiss early on April 8 with students provided breakfast, lunch, and eclipse viewing glasses.
