A Pennsylvania man faces charges after he reportedly hit a Cumberland County school bus Wednesday morning on Highway 127 North. According to the THP, around 7:30am, 49-year-old Michael B. Cordell was driving northbound when his 2023 Ford Maverick crossed the center line and struck the left rear wheel of the school bus, which was traveling southbound. After the impact, Cordell’s vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and came to rest in the construction zone while the school bus came to a controlled stop off the right side of the roadway in the construction zone. Mr. Cordell was injured. The bus driver was reportedly not hurt. The THP lists charges of Due Care and DUI against Mr. Cordell.
