Missing White County Man Not Found After Community Search, Sheriff Says No Leads Discovered

A White County man remains missing after a day’s long community search and the Sheriff says no leads were discovered.

Roy Whited, age 64, was last seen on Friday, May 3, 2024 near Lovejoy Road in Sparta.

On Tuesday (5/21/2024),  63 civilians joined the search along with approximately 40 first responders which included White County Sheriff’s Officers, EMS, volunteer fire fighters, and TWRA.

Sheriff Steve Page and staff  thank everyone who came out to look for Roy Whited and all who donated food, drinks and snacks.

The investigation is still ongoing into the disappearance of the former White County High School basketball coach.
