UPDATE! The teenage daughter of an East Tennessee police officer has been found safe after she was reported missing in Florida. The Pensacola Police Department said shortly before noon on Tuesday (6/11/2024) that 16-year-old Abigail Velez has been located and is safe in St. Petersburg. No criminal charges have been filed and the matter is being treated as a runaway case. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office the teenager was reported missing after she was last seen on Thursday, June 6 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
