Crossville Police were dispatched to Plateau Lanes Friday night to reports of a man throwing shoes and claiming to be law enforcement. Police made contact with 43-year-old Joshua Michael Lewko, of Louisiana, who they say had the odor of alcohol, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. Employees said Mr. Lewko had already been drinking when he arrived at the bowling alley and they refused to serve him alcohol when he became loud and belligerent. He allegedly began throwing shoes at the televisions and towards another lane with people in it. He demanded a refund, was denied and reportedly threatened a worker. Police say multiple people provided statements about the situation. Staff also said Lewko damaged the wooden floor on one of the lanes by throwing the bowling ball too hard. Mr. Lewko was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center and served with Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication charges.
