East TN Judge Fatally Hit by Vehicle While Walking Along Roadway Early Sunday Morning

East Tennessee judge Okie Duane Sloane was fatally struck by a car when he reportedly walked out into a roadway in Dandridge over the weekend.  It happened around 1:30am Sunday while the Fourth Judicial District Circuit Court Judge was walking along Highway 25/70, just east of the Dandridge City Limits.  The judge may have been on foot due to a flat tire.  Judge Sloan was 61.
