Football: It was announced last week that for he first time ever, Tennessee football games will have a Spanish radio broadcast. After interest was garnered when there was a Spanish broadcast for one of the games last season, Vol Radio Network flagship station WNML, The Sports Animal, in Knoxville, will offer a Spanish-language broadcast of Tennessee’s football games for the upcoming 2024 season.
Men’s Basketball: The Men’s Basketball team at UT announced that they’ll kick off the 2024/25 season with a charity exhibition game on October 27th. The Vols will host the exhibition game in Knoxville against a blue blood team in the Indiana Hoosiers. The proceeds from ticket sells will be donated to the John McLendon Foundation which was agree upon by both Tennessee and Indiana.
Women’s Cross Country: On Tuesday the SEC released the 2024 SEC Cross Country Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The poll had the Lady Vols predicted to finish 4th in the Southeastern Conference. The three teams in front of Tennessee include rivals Florida and Alabama in 1st and 2nd respectively, while Arkansas is picked to finish 3rd. This will be UT’s first season under head coach Justin Duncan who has a deep roster of runners returning.
