According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday at approximately 10:10 PM, Deputies responded to 8589 HWY 127N for report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival Deputies made contact with a Black Dodge Ram, and the occupant Robert Bottoms. Robert struggled to open the window and fumbled for an extended amount of time before then opening the door to the vehicle. Robert displayed multiple signs of being under the influence of some form of narcotic, so deputies ordered him out of the vehicle. Upon his exit of the vehicle, Deputies observed him display unsteady balance, dilated pupils, and extremely slurred speech.

Robert was asked if he was under the influence of anything to which he stated he was not. Deputies then asked Robert if there would be anything illegal inside the vehicle to which he stated multiple times there could be, but he did not know. After a search of Bottom’s vehicle Deputies located multiple clear plastic baggies, and a black magnet box that contained two clear plastic baggies containing an off-white crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine,
weighing approximately 2.06 Grams, and 3.34 Grams, along with a used Methamphetamine pipe used for smoking.
Robert was placed under arrest and transported to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office intake for booking where he is charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of Methamphetamine, and Public Intoxication
