As of Monday morning (10/7/2024, FEMA has approved over $632,000 for disaster assistance for over 33 households in Tennessee.  FEMA expects to help many more and FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams are on the ground in neighborhoods across the affected counties in East Tennessee helping survivors apply for FEMA assistance and connecting them with additional state, local, federal and voluntary agency resources.

Federal support for survivors of Hurricane Helene has now surpassed $210 million so far.  FEMA is still taking applications for assistance due to Tropical Storm Debby. The Agency says it is ready to respond to the impacts of Hurricane Milton, which is expected to make landfall on the Gulf Coast of Florida on Wednesday evening as a major hurricane.
