The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Exxon on Westel Road early Monday (10/7/2024) for a stolen vehicle report. The victim, who is from Knoxville, told police that she and her friend stopped as the gas station opened up around 4am. The victim said she was in the store about 15 minutes. Upon exiting the store, the victim said a lady who was parked in the parking lot told the victim that 2 males with masks on took her car. The stolen vehicle is a blue 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan with a bunch of stickers including the name TINA. The victim told police that she has the key to the car, and it was locked. The suspects were driving a white Ford Escape. The responding Deputy was able to review store cameras and get a picture and video of the trio. The report notes that just before this theft the Crossville city units were working a similar theft at Buc-ee’s involving the same white Ford Escape with a firearm being stolen.
