The five missing brothers from Athens, Tennessee have been found safe in Georgia, the TBI said Wednesday morning. An Endangered Child Alert was issued for the boys, ranging in age from 2 to 11, after authorities said they had apparently been taken by their non-custodial parents, Kurtis and Sawana Pendergrass, who are both 30-years-old.
The TBI said the boys were located safe but did not immediately provide any other details, or give the exact location where they were found.
Various news outlets reported Wednesday morning that Kurtis Pendergrass had been taken into custody.
