Crossville Fire Haz-Mat, Crossville Police Department, and Crossville/Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency responded to Flowers Bakery Wednesday morning after an anhydrous ammonia leak was detected in the equipment used for flashing freezing product.  Emergency crews were called because of the potential for hazardous materials spreading, however, according to Crossville Fire Chief Chris South, the leak was very small and was discovered quickly by detectors. Chief South stressed that the public was never in any danger. A repair company was brought in to fix the leak which took about an hour.
