Jeff Dyer, manager for the Cumberland Plateau Water Authority presented his first report to the board during the regular session for December on Monday. Dyer introduced a mission statement, vision statement and a list of core values as well as a table of goals that included enhancing water resource sustainability and engaging and educating the community. Authority members will review the points and adopt them at a later meeting. Everett Bolin, manager of the Crab Orchard Utility District, also announced that his board will be voting on a resolution to become part of the Cumberland Plateau Water Authority. If approved, County Mayor Allen Foster will be required to post a 30-day public notice of the intent of the Crab Orchard Utility District to join the CPWA. The water authority will meet again next month on January 6th in the second floor conference room of Cumberland Medical Center at 6 pm.
