A North Carolina man has been charged after he reportedly pulled the fire alarm at Cumberland Medical Center on New Year’s Eve and then fled the hospital. The 25-year-old man was later found standing in the road on Creekway Drive. He was no longer wearing the scrubs he fled the hospital in. Instead he was wearing waders, a green shirt and a vest. The suspect also had lacerations on his arms. It was determined that the man had broken a window to gain entry into Emmanuel Baptist Church. Blood soaked towels were found at the church and the clothing the suspect was wearing had been taken from the church. The suspect was taken back to CMC for medical treatment. Crossville Police charged him with Burglar and Filing a False Report.
