Tennessee is Getting a Major League Volleyball Team

The state of Tennessee is getting another professional sports franchise after the announcement of Major League Volleyball.

The MLV is a professional women’s volleyball league that will contain of 10 teams. The announcement came on Thursday that the MLV reported having $100 million in funding.

Tennessee will join Wisconsin, California, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, Ohio, Washington, and the Omaha Supernovas. The Omaha Supernovas are a established franchise in Omaha who play in the Pro Volleyball Federation. There is no news on Tennessee’s team name, coaching staff, or roster. The MLV is set to launch in January of 2026.
