Cumberland County has been awarded a $750,000 HOME program grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) to help local families within Cumberland County with home repairs.
HOME program funding is intended to help families of low income, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities who cannot afford to bring their homes up to code. Officials anticipate helping as many as 8 homeowners with issues, such as leaking plumbing, unsafe flooring, faulty wiring, damaged roofs, and more.
A public application workshop has been scheduled for: Thursday, Feb. 20, at 5 p.m., at Art Circle Public Library Room 130, located at 3 East St. in Crossville, TN. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the eligibility requirements for this program and to review the application process for homeowners.
Applications must be submitted to Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster’s office, at 2 N. Main St. Ste. 203, before 4 p.m. on March 15, 2025.
