Jeff Lyash, Tennessee Valley Authority President and Chief Executive Officer, announced Friday his plans to retire no later than the end of the fiscal year. Lyash has served as TVA’s CEO for nearly six years and according to a press release will continue to lead TVA until the Board of Directors selects a successor.  Lyash was reportedly the highest paid federal employee with a salary of $10.5 million a year.  In his first term, President Donald Trump had called Lyash’s pay “ridiculous” and wanted to oust him.  TVA is the nation’s largest public utility.
