Opry Mills Mall in Nashville was put on lockdown Saturday afternoon (2/1/2025) following reports of a fight at the Chili’s there. Early reports indicated that it stemmed from a domestic incident between a woman and her boyfriend who was working at the restaurant. The incident caused people to shelter in place and rush out of the mall in a panic. Police said they received reports of shots fired but intitially found no evidence of gunfire. Those reports are still being investigating. The mall was evacuated and closed. Around 2:30 Saturday afternoon, TDOT Smartway reported police activity at Exit 11: Opry Mills Drive in Nashville. According to TDOT, the north and southbound exit ramps near the mall remained blocked later that night.
