SMHS Senior Cade Capps Makes TSSAA History

By Paxton Elmore Feb 12, 2025 | 10:58 AM

It was a historic night in Crossville as the cross town rivalry between CCHS and SMHS met at the home of the Jets.

The moment came in the boys game Tuesday night as Stone Memorial Senior Cade Capps reached the 3,000 point mark. Capps was able to score 36 points in Stone’s win over CCHS. Cade is just the 25th player in state history to reach the 3,000 point club.

Capps joins a lucrative list of players in the 3,000 points club including former Tennessee Vol and current NBA G-League player Tyreke Key, former NBA player and current coach of the Memphis Tigers Penny Hardaway, former NBA player Joe Jackson, and former NBA player and Vanderbilt Commodore John Jenkins.
