Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor Election Set

The Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission (TSWCC) has announced that the terms of David Beaty, Keith Cole and Terry Lowe, current board members of the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), will expire on March 31, 2025.

The SWCD election will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District Office, which is located in the USDA Service Center at 314 Old Jamestown Highway next door to the U.S. Post Office.

The nominating petition submittal deadline is Monday, February 24, 2025, by 4:00 pm CDT to the SWCD Office.

The following are candidates in the election: Stanley Baldwin, David Beaty, Keith Cole, Terry Lowe, Jose Rodriguez and Susanne Wilson.

Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor Election Set

Announcement is made by the Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission (TSWCC) that the terms of David Beaty, Keith Cole and Terry Lowe, current board members of the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), will expire on March 31, 2025.

An advisory committee of leaders has been requested by the TSWCC to carry out the necessary election procedures to fill these three positions. Pursuant to TCA 43-14-201, due notice is given that the election will be conducted in the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District Office, which is located in the USDA Service Center at 314 Old Jamestown Highway next door to the U.S. Post Office. The SWCD election will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The nominating petition submittal deadline is February 24, 2025, by 4:00 pm CDT to the SWCD Office at the address above.

Per TCA 43-14-216, only persons holding legal title to lands within Cumberland County are eligible to vote in this election.
